Everything you need to get the most out of Flimra

Getting Started

  • Available on the App Store for iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV
  • Search for "Flimra" or use the direct App Store link
  • Requires iOS 15+ or tvOS 15+
  • On first launch, you'll be prompted to add a playlist
  • Choose your playlist type: Xtream Codes or M3U
  • Enter your credentials and connect

Managing Playlists

  • Xtream Codes: Enter server URL, username, and password
  • M3U: Enter M3U playlist URL and optional EPG URL
  • Choose an icon for your playlist
  • Name your playlist and tap Connect
  • Go to Settings → Active Playlist
  • Select the playlist you want to use
  • The active playlist is marked with a checkmark
  • Settings → Manage Playlists → Select playlist
  • Change name, icon, or credentials
  • Set auto-sync interval: 6h, 12h, 24h, weekly, monthly, or manual
  • Settings → Manage Playlists → Select playlist → Delete
  • Confirm deletion in the dialog
  • Note: All data for that playlist will be permanently removed
  • M3U playlists only support Live TV channels
  • Movies and Series tabs are not available for M3U
  • For full functionality, use Xtream Codes credentials

Managing Categories

  • Settings → Categories → Select tab (Live TV, Movies, or Series)
  • Toggle the switch next to each category to show/hide
  • Use "Show All" or "Hide All" buttons for bulk changes
  • Settings → Categories → Tap on a category name
  • Enter your custom name
  • To restore, use the reset option to go back to original names
  • iOS: Drag and drop categories to reorder
  • Apple TV: Use the Move Up/Down buttons
  • Your custom order is saved automatically
  • Settings → Categories → Add Custom Category
  • Custom categories are marked with a star icon
  • Use them to organize content your own way
  • iOS: Long-press on any movie, series, or channel → Add to Category
  • Apple TV: Press and hold on the remote → Add to Category
  • Select which custom category to add the content to

Audio & Subtitle Settings

  • Settings → Player → Audio Language
  • Select your preferred language from the list
  • This applies to all movies, series, and live TV
  • Settings → Player → Subtitle Language
  • Choose your preferred subtitle language
  • Subtitles are selected automatically when available
  • Size: Small, Medium, Large, or Extra Large
  • Background: None, Semi-transparent, or Opaque
  • Settings → Player to adjust these options
  • Change audio or subtitle track while watching from the player controls
  • Your selection is remembered for that movie or series while in progress
  • No need to reselect each time you resume watching

Home Screen Customization

  • Settings → Home Sections
  • Toggle sections on/off to show or hide them
  • Drag to reorder sections as you prefer
  • Settings → Interface → Default Tab
  • Choose which screen opens when you launch the app
  • Options: Home, Search, Live TV, Movies, Series, or Settings
  • Settings → Interface → Blur Unseen Episodes
  • When enabled, episode thumbnails you haven't watched are blurred
  • Helps avoid spoilers when browsing series

Favorites & Watch History

  • iOS: Long-press on any content → Add to Favorites
  • Apple TV: Press and hold on the remote → Add to Favorites
  • Works for channels, movies, and series
  • Favorites appear in a dedicated section on the Home screen
  • Enable the Favorites section in Settings → Home Sections if hidden
  • Your watch progress is tracked automatically
  • Continue Watching section shows where you left off
  • Works across all your Apple devices
  • Recently watched channels appear on the Home screen
  • Quick access to jump back to your last channels

Player Settings

  • VOD Player: Settings → Player → VOD Player (for movies and series)
  • Live TV Player: Settings → Player → Live TV Player
  • Different players may handle certain streams better
  • Settings → Player → Auto-play Next Episode
  • When enabled, the next episode starts automatically
  • Great for binge-watching series

Troubleshooting

  • Check your internet connection
  • Verify your playlist credentials are correct
  • Try refreshing: Settings → Manage Playlists → Refresh
  • Your IPTV provider's server may be temporarily down
  • Settings → Manage Playlists → Select playlist → Refresh
  • Check that your subscription with your IPTV provider is active
  • Try adjusting the auto-sync interval
  • Try a different player in Settings → Player
  • Check your internet speed - streaming requires stable connection
  • Some streams may not be compatible with all players
  • Settings → Clear Cache
  • Clears images and metadata cache
  • Your watch history and favorites are preserved
